It’s that time of the year again where the whole cricketing world looks up to India and Indian cricket. It’s the time when the “hammer” is on the song rather than the players. Yes, it is the IPL Auction 2019 where the team owners and their franchise takes on each other on the table before their teams do on the ground later on next year. All the franchises will go hard to bid for the players they wanted but also keeping a close eye on their budget and combination of the side. Players that are in the list of an auction need to sign up for the auctions and each player has to set a base price for them and the franchise who bid the highest for an individual player gets them.
The franchise can get the players they want by three ways: the annual player auction, trading players with other teams during the trading windows and signing replacements for unavailable players. The players can be traded from one franchise to another only after the player’s consent. The franchise will pay the difference between the old and the new contract if any to the player. The player can be traded only in the trading window whereas replacement can be done before or during the tournament also.
Players from all over the cricketing nation also look up to this auction and perform in the domestic and international circuits likewise, because they know one thing is for sure, a good season or two of performance in cricket will definitely earn them a spot in one of the eight franchise who are having a good constant and close eye on all players through their management and who knows one might get picked up being the highest bid of the season. Especially the foreign players who perform well against India knows for a fact that the crowd that is booing them for scoring runs against their country will be the same crowd cheering them once he plays for their favorite franchise.
